Award Types and Application Process

Applicants will be contacted within 30 days after the stated deadlines to apprise them about the status of their application.

Award Types

Cornerstone Bancshares Foundation offers the following types of awards for successful recipients:

Grants

  • One-time
  • Multi-year grants
  • Cooperative grants - joint efforts involving multiple other community funding partners

Program Investment Financing

  • Loan loss reserve coverage
  • Interest expense waivers or deferments
  • Bridge financing
  • Early stage funding with cooperative community partners
  • Other

Application Process

THIS SECTION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE, DEPENDING ON ANNUAL CONFERENCE OR EVENT

  • Applications can be received throughout the year;  however, funding requests will be reviewed and awards will be determined once a year.
  • To be considered for funding awards within a required timeframe, make sure your application is received no later than the following application date below:

Application Deadline

  • October 15, 2010
  • Applications received after a published deadline will be accepted but are considered for funding during the next round of disbursements.
  • Interested recipients must complete and turn in a completed Foundation Application.
  • Applicants must also submit the following Additional Items with their application:
  • copy of current organizational license/business license
  • list of key managers, board of directors & advisors
  • program/project budget
  • financial statements for current & prior year for legal entity
  • any other project materials, brochures, presentations or supporting information, if any (please limit this to items that can fit in a 9”x12” envelope; CDs welcome-materials should be in either pdf format, excel or word)
  • enclose the completed Application Form + Additional Items in a sealed 9”x12” envelope addressed to:

  • Requests should be submitted completed in entirety to qualify and must be postmarked or received by the date of the deadline

Submission Deadline and Notification

Applicants will be contacted within 30 days after the relevant deadline to update you on the status of your application.
